KNOW, HOW and WHY
“We Believe in Initiating, Integrating and Innovating –Gen Next Law”
ARA Legal Media Group, India’s first such group, came into existence in March 2007 to provide legal assistance and research. In 2009, we launched our legal news portal www.legalera.in and a year later, in 2010, Legal Era Magazine was born. Legal Era offers keen insight into the latest happenings in the legal field both in India and abroad. It serves as connect between lawyers and laymen. In addition to being a one-stop-shop for legal news and analyses, it seeks to educate the masses about their basic rights and duties.
In 2014 , we launched IP Era, a magazine exclusively focused on Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Rights and their protection and enforcement
As the oldest magazine from the ARA stable, Legal Era aims to be a beacon of information that is first-hand, accurate and handy for its readers. We pride ourselves on being a people’s magazine for though we carry news and updates from the legal universe as also articles and opinion pieces by the who’s who of the legal fraternity, our ultimate endeavor is to reach out to the masses and make them aware of their rights and duties. Our wide-ranging readership includes top-tier CEOs, CFOs, General Counsel, Managing Directors as well as practicing advocates, professionals from all walks of life, aspiring lawyers and law students. Through timely and well-planned events, we also provide a platform for legal luminaries from around the world to meet and share useful ideas and information.

The need of the hour is
to foster business interest in
a legally compliant manner
only then can we become
law abiding corporate
citizens. The theme of this
conclave assumes greater
importance, especially in
light of the volatile economic
environment that we are
witnessing as of now, where
business regulation and the
framework are imperative to support and sustain the
transformation. An optimum balance is necessary to provide
a level playing field while at the same time, not hindering the
spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship..

Anand Desai, Managing Partner, DSK Legal (India)
I would like to congratulate Aakriti and her team for what they have done in the past 7 years. They were the first to introduce awards for lawyers, excellent conferences which are theme based. I think their profile has gone up year after year, I think it can compare pretty much to any international conference now.

"The thought that I
would like to leave you
all with is how can we
ensure in our own long
existential interest that
we continue to drive the
debate so that as lawyers,
as intellectuals more
than anything else, we
continue to play a very
important role in evolving
a more ethical, fairer and
more predictable society,
especially in a world
that is so volatile and

Justice B.N. Srikrishna,, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India
Thank you Legal Era and thanks to all dear friends for gathering here and giving me support to do whatever I can in the sunset years of my life

Justice Mohit Shah, Former Chief Justice, Bombay High Court (India)
We all know that when the budget is prepared, business organizations do give their inputs about tax rates or exemptions and deductions that they want. I wish that lawyers too form such groups at conferences like these. If you have problems about mergers and acquisitions, if statutory regulations dealing with mergers and regulations need some tweaking, need some change, your study groups, your core committees can make recommendations. And I am sure that the government will pay heed to them. The point that I want to make is that we should all realize that laws and institutions like clocks, must be occasionally cleaned, wound up, and set to true time.
—Justice Mohit Shah, Former Chief Justice, Bombay High Court (India)
Kapil Sibal, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India
I am happy and humbled to receive this award and saddened too, because suddenly I realise that you think I have reached the sunset of my life; something I don’t believe in. Law is not about making money; law is about ensuring that we have a community which lives with amity and that we all do our best to uphold the rule of law

Osaro Eghobamien SAN, Managing Partner, Perchstone & Graeys (Nigeria)
I think it was extremely well organized and attracted the cream of the legal profession. It provided a good platform for networking. I have since developed some personal and business relationships which would perhaps never have been possible without the conference
